The Historical Kingdom of Heaven - Baroness Catriona
             In the 2005 movie, Kingdom of Heaven, Orlando Bloom rode into town to aid the city of Jerusalem in its defense against the Muslim leader, Saladin and rode off into the sunset with Sybilla. Not exactly the historical facts, which are much more convoluted and interesting. This class will look at how Hollywood got it wrong...again. 1 hour/  no handout/ no fee/ high school to adult
 
Construction of the Gable or Pedimental Headdress - Yseult the Gentle
           Presentation in lecture format on building the Pedimental Tudor headdress (Jane Seymour headdress.)  No fee, no handout; students are encouraged to bring paper or notebook, and a writing instrument.

The Elusive Bliaut - Milesent Vibert and Ceinwen ferch Elidure
            This class goes over the evidence and theories of construction for twelfth century French Noblewoman's dress.
 
Basic Card Weaving - Runa
             Learn the basics of card weaving.  Hands on class.  7.00$ cost for handout and supplies.  Supplies are first come first serve till there are no more left.  Instructer is willing to take questions and offer help through out the day.

Medieval Christian Prayer Beads - Lady Elizabethe Alles
               In the 13th-16th centuries in Christian Europe, prayer beads were an ubiquitous accessory. Come learn about their history and development and make a set of your own to adorn your garb. 
 
$3 to cover the cost of the kit. Listening is free.  I will have kits available for up to 10 people.  Additional people welcome to sit in and listen. Youth are welcome as long as they are able to use scissors and needle and thread without supervision.

Making a Paper Pattern for a Period-esque Fabric Shoe - Yseult the Gentle
             Students will work in teams of two for hands-on learning of a method  for creating paper patterns for generically medieval fabric shoes. Construction details of fabric shoes will be covered; notebook or paper and writing instrument recommended.  Bring a clean pair of modern-life socks and a felt-tip NON-permanent marker if you wish to participate hands-on and make a pattern.

Hands-on participants limited to 10 (ten) total; teams will be created from the earliest participants.
Late-comers may audit.  Materials fee for hands-on team members is $1.00 per person. 2 hour class
